After you submit your request, you will receive lawyer matches within a few hours. You can then choose a time slot that works for you for a consultation.
What areas of elder law do you cover?
Our network covers wills and estates, powers of attorney, guardianship applications, senior care planning and related matters that affect older adults.
Are consultations offered in simple language?
Yes. Every lawyer in our network is trained to explain complex legal terms in everyday language so you can make informed decisions.
Is SenLawCare only in Toronto?
Currently we serve clients in Toronto and surrounding regions in Ontario. As we grow, we plan to add more coverage across Canada.
Do you offer virtual meetings?
Yes. You can choose between online video consultations or in-person meetings at our Toronto office or a lawyer’s office.
How do I prepare for my consultation?
Gather any relevant documents such as existing wills, powers of attorney, medical directives or court orders. Make a list of your questions ahead of time.
What documents should I bring to an in-person meeting?
Bring identification, any existing legal documents related to elder law, and notes about your situation. This helps your lawyer understand your needs right away.
Can I book a same-day appointment?
Subject to lawyer availability, same-day appointments are possible. We’ll show you available slots when you request a match.
How do I pay for a consultation?
You pay your lawyer directly after you agree on a fee. Costs vary by lawyer and service type, and are disclosed upfront before you confirm.
Do you assist with guardianship applications?
Yes. We connect you with lawyers who have experience preparing and filing guardianship or power of attorney applications.
Can I change my assigned lawyer if I’m not satisfied?
Yes. If you feel the lawyer is not the right fit, contact us and we will provide additional matches until you find someone who meets your needs.
Is my personal information kept private?
Absolutely. All information you share is kept confidential and only shared with the lawyer you select.
What languages do your lawyers speak?
Most of our lawyers speak English, and many also speak French. We will match you based on your language preference.
Can I schedule follow-up meetings?
Yes. You can book additional consultations with the same lawyer through our platform whenever you need further assistance.
